I saw in the Bristol Creatives facebook page a call out for some ‘Brave’ designs, from Call of the Brave, calling for designs from Bristol artists for the No More Waste: Live Crowdfunding and Upcycling Workshop taking place on Sunday 12th June,co-hosted by Kecks Clothing as part of Bristol Big Green Week 2016. Call of the Brave is a great company working with ethical clothing, you can read more about them here!
My Brave design is loosely inspired by the legend of Suriyothai, a 16th century Thai royal queen consort, who rode elephants into battle to protect her family and her country.
It is really exciting seeing your design being stencilled onto things; I got a lovely message on twitter from Rachael Clarke of Made in Bristol TV , showing me my design that she has been working on this afternoon at the workshop! These images are from Rachael and her twitter, thank you, Rachael, for sending these to me and letting me post them on my website and social media! 🙂
